The Dutch at GDC San Francisco 2016

With financial support of the Creative Industries Fund NL I will organize various events for Dutch companies during GDC 2016 in San Francisco. Below more information on the various events.

Dutch Business Breakfast
What: Breakfast, a keynote speaker, elevator pitches and networking
Who can participate: Anyone who wants to network with the Dutch
When: Tuesday March 15, 7:30 – 9:30 AM (times subject to change)
VenueDLA Piper, 555 Mission Street, Suite 2400, San Francisco (8 minute walk from Moscone Center.
Cost: Free (including breakfast)
Availability: Limited and on first come, first served basis.

Dutch Showcase event
What: We’ll rent a venue within walking distance of Moscone center where Dutch companies can set up business for an entire afternoon. We’ll provide drinks and some snacks. You can invite your partners, press, platform holders and other business contacts to come and meet you. We will also send out invitations ourselves to press and platform holders and other key contacts to come and visit the Dutch Showcase.
Who can participate: Anyone who is looking for exposure and a meeting place
When: Tuesday March 15, 12:00 – 17.00h (times subject to change)
VenueHarlot/46 Minna, 46 Minna Street, San Francisco (7 minute walk from Moscone Center.
Cost: You will have to bring your own computers, monitors and other hardware, but there are not other costs
Availability: Limited and on first come, first served basis.

Local Multiplayer and Prototype event
What: We’ll rent a venue within walking distance of Moscone center where Dutch developers can showcase their local multiplayer games.  We’ll provide drinks and snacks. You can invite your partners, press, platform holders and other business contacts to come and meet you. We will also send out invitations ourselves to press and platform holders and other key contacts to come and visit the Local Multiplayer event.
Who can participate: For the Local Multiplayer event Creative Industries Funds will select max. ten Open Call submissions (call is now closed). How game prototypes will be chosen is not determined yet.
When: Tuesday, March 15 17.30 – 22.00h (times subject to change)

Cost: You will have to bring your own computers, monitors and other hardware, but there are not other costs
Availability: Limited and on first come, first served basis.

Bay Area tour  – CANCELED
What: Organize visits of various companies in San Francisco and the Bay Area. I don’t have any definitive names yet, but we are trying to set up meetings at companies like Google, EA, Sony, Apple, Double Fine, Facebook etcetera.
Who can participate: Companies that focus or are interested in the business side of GDC, such as more experienced developers, publishers and service providers.
When: Probably Monday, March 14
Cost: Transportation will be arranged for. However, you have to pay for your own lunch and beverages.
Availability: Limited and on first come, first served basis.
